The map is decorated with a baroque cartouche and the names of seventy-two smaller side-streets and alleys are given in a keyed index. Originally produced by Richard Blome in the late seventeenth century, the map remained unpublished until 1720, with the present version originally produced for the part-work edition of John Stow's "A Survey of the Cities of London and Westminster" (London : 1754-1757).
