Interesting in grading the roads, locating archaeological sites, etc. Engraved by John Roper (fl.1792-1810) from a draught by Cole, probably the surveyor George Cole of Soho. [London : 1718]. Delightfully engraved scroll-style road map from the scarce early road-book "A pocket guide to the English traveller". The road from Chester to Holyhead via Hawarden, Northop, Denbigh, Conwy and Beaumaris. The map is dedicated Owen Meywrick.
