London : George Virtue, [1836]. A dramatic antique print - a view of the cave and the chapel of Wildkirchli. Engraved by John Cousen (1804-1880) from an original study by the much-admired William Henry Bartlett. Originally produced for the part-work series "Switzerland Illustrated" (London : 1834-1836).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 197 x 111mm (approx. 7-3/4" x 4-3/8"). Blank margins a touch dusty, but the image in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
