[London : 1883]. A charming wood-engraving of the old parish church of All Saints, Foots Cray - set amidst trees. Engraved from a study by William Henry Boot and originally produced for the part-work "Greater London: a Narrative of its History, its People and its Places" published between 1882 and 1884.
Wood engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 103 x 143mm (approx. 4-1/8" x 5-5/8"). Text on verso. In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

A pleasant antique print - a view across the ornamental lake to the mid eighteenth-century Palladian house set among trees - at this time the home of Nicholas Vansittart, Lord Bexley, Chancellor of the Exchequer. Engraved by Henry Adlard (fl.1825-1877) from an original study by the landscape artist George Sidney Shepherd (1784-1862). Originally produced for the "England's Topographer" series of Kent views (London 1828-1831).
