[London : 1884]. A scarce and handsome antique print of the chimneys, wharves and yards of the Victorian river front at Blackwall. Engraved from an original study by E.H.Fitchew (fl.1884-1886) and originally produced as a supplementary presentation plate for the part-work "Greater London: a Narrative of its History, its People and its Places" (London 1882-1884).
Line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 139 x 194mm (approx. 5-1/2" x 7-5/8"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

[London : 1883]. A pleasant antique print - the arched and clock-towered entrance to the East India Dock - the masts of tall ships beyond. Engraved by Andrew Scott (fl.1880-1886) from an original study by G. Grenville Manton. Originally produced for the part-work "Greater London: a Narrative of its History, its People and its Places" published between 1882 and 1884.
Wood engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 102 x 138mm (approx. 4" x 5-1/2"). Text on verso. In fine and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

London : Ackermann & Co., 1837. A charming antique print - a delicate etching of the quay at Blackwall - a man fishing in the dock - from the highly skilled marine painter-engraver Henry Moses. Originally produced for Moses' "Marine Sketch Book" series (London : 1825-1826).
Etching on paper. Engraved surface 102 x 184mm (approx. 4" x 7-1/4"). A couple of faint marks, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

OWEN, Samuel, 1768-1857 : MAST HOUSE, BLACKWALL.

London : Vernor, Hood & Sharpe; and W. Cooke, 1809. A most attractive antique print - a delicate etching of early nineteenth century Blackwall, small craft on the river. Etched by William Bernard Cooke (1778-1855) from an original study by Samuel Owen and originally produced for Owen's first series of Thames views - "The Thames" (London 1809-1811).
Etching and line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 125 x 187mm (approx. 4-7/8" x 7-3/8"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 106/070.
