An interesting antique print - the ironworks at Nantyglo by moonlight - smoke from chimeys and furnaces partly obscuring the moon. Engraved by Samuel Lacey (1786-1859) from an original study by the landscape and topographical painter Henry Gastineau. Originally produced for the part-work series "Wales Illustrated" (London 1830-1831). Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 105 x 148mm (approx. 4-1/8" x 5-7/8"). A few faint marks, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
