[London : ca.1845]. A neatly worked antique map of the old county of Breconshire or Brecknockshire by Joshua Archer of Pentonville, cartographer, engraver and printer. Originally produced for Thomas Dugdale’s part-work "Curiosities of Great Britain. England & Wales Delineated" (London : 1838-1843) – and here in a slightly later impression.
Steel line engraving on paper. Original hand colour. Engraved surface 230 x 182mm (approx. 9-1/8” x 7-1/8”). Original horizontal fold; some very mild offsetting and slight diagonal creasing, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique map.
