[London : Fisher, Son & Co., 1832]. An antique print – the striking contrast in landscape either side of the Tamar near Calstock – verdant pastures to the west – forbidding rocks to the east. Engraved by William Alexander le Petit (1804?-1896) from an original study by the painter-architect Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work series “Devonshire Illustrated” (London : 1828-1832).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 104 x 157mm (approx. 4-1/8” x 6-1/4”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
