A handsome antique print - the early industrial landscape of the City Road Basin by Pickfords Wharf - warehouses, bridge, water traffic, St. Luke Old Street in the distance. Originally produced for the October 1822 issue of Ackermann's fashionable magazine, "The Repository of Arts, Literature, Commerce, Manufactures, Fashions and Politics".
Aquatint on paper. Original hand colour. Engraved surface 120 x 189mm (approx. 4-3/4" x 7-1/2"). A few minor marks and some very faint offsetting, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
