Originally produced for the October 1822 issue of Ackermann's fashionable magazine, "The Repository of Arts, Literature, Commerce, Manufactures, Fashions and Politics".

An appealing and interesting antique print - the Bridgewater Canal and the original Barton Aqueduct at Salford - the first true canal and the first barge-aqueduct in England - and perhaps the starting-point of the Industrial Revolution.
