[London : John Cooke, 1770]. A plain and elegant eighteenth century antique print - the exterior of the eighteenth century Grocers' Hall - the original home (until 1734) of the Bank of England -set within a beaded engraved frame. Originally engraved by T. White (ca.1730-1775) for the John Cooke part-work publication, Henry Chamberlain, "A New and Compleat History and Survey of the Cities of London and Westminster" (London 1770).
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 122 x 161mm (approx. 4-7/8" x 6-3/8"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 48/036A.

A busy Victorian print showing the eastern end of Queen Victoria Street looking towards the Royal Exchange, with London omnibuses, top-hatted gentlemen, etc. From an original design by the painter and illustrator William Luker (1862-1934) and engraved in Paris by Ch. Guillaume & Cie. for the Leadenhall Press publication "London City" (1891).
Hand touched and finished half-tone process block. Later hand colour. Image area 164 x 215mm (approx. 6-3/8" x 8-1/2"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

London : [1831]. An attractive antique print from Shepherd's series "London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century" (London 1829-1832). The early nineteenth hall from the courtyard, man with dog and stick on the lawn. Engraved by William Radclyffe (1783-1855) from an original study (now in the Museum of London) by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd (1793-1864), the master recorder of 19th century London.
