Drawn and engraved by John Greig (fl.1800-1843) and originally produced for the part-work publication “Walks through London, including Westminster and the Borough of Southwark” (1816-1817).

An attractive antique print of the delivery of the Annual Orations in the imposing Great Hall of the old Christ’s Hospital School (the Blue Coat School) in Newgate Street, founded in 1553 and now removed to Horsham in Sussex. Engraved by Henry Melville (1792-1870) from an original study by Llewellynn Jewitt F.S.A. and originally produced for the part-work “London Interiors : A Grand National Exhibition” (London : 1841-1844).
