[London : George Virtue, 1836]. A most attractive antique print - Dollar and the celebrated Castle of Gloom on the hills above. Engraved by Henry Griffiths (fl.1835-1849) from an original study by the gifted Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work series "Scotland Illustrated" (London : 1835-1838).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 147 x 169mm (approx. 5-3/4" x 6-5/8"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
