London : George Virtue, 1833. An attractive antique print – the magnificent gatehouse to the mediaeval priory. Engraved by Henry Adlard (1799-1893) from an original study by William Henry Bartlett. Originally produced for “The History and Topography of Essex” published in parts from 1831 onwards.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 119 x 169mm (approx. 4-3/4” x 6-5/8”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

London : S. Hooper, 1787. A striking antique print – the lost church of All Saints at Walton-on-the-Naze – swept into the sea in the late eighteenth century. Drawn and engraved under the direction of James Newton (1748-1807?) and originally produced for Francis Grose’s serially published “The Antiquities of England & Wales” (London : 1774-1787).
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 113 x 151m (approx. 4-1/2” x 6”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
