[AA, Pieter van der, 1659-1733] : [ROYAL COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS, WARWICK LANE] L'ENTRÉE DU COLLÉGE ROYAL DES MEDECINS. [Leiden : Pierre vander Aa, 1707]. An early and unusual eighteenth-century print of the old Royal College of Physicians (the building by Robert Hooke of 1672-1678 in Warwick Lane). The view is set within a trompe l'oeil setting of a print tacked to a wall. [London : 1724 (but later)] A handsome antique print - a view of the inner courtyard of the old Royal College of Physicians (the building by Robert Hooke of 1672-1678 in Warwick Lane). Below the image are seven lines of engraved explanatory text, describing the powers of the College "to search Apothecarys Shops, to see if their Drugs are good ... & can impose a Fine or Imprisonm.t on Quacks".
