SHEPHERD, Thomas Hosmer, 1793-1864 : [DYERS' HALL] DYER'S HALL, COLLEGE STREET. [London : Jones & Co., 1830]. A pleasant antique print of the facade of the old Dyers' Hall off Dowgate Hill - condemned as unsafe in 1838 and replaced on the same site by the present Hall. The church of St. Michael Paternoster Royal can be seen beyond the Hall. Engraved by John Greig (fl.1800-1843) from an original pencil drawing (now in the Guildhall Library) by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London.
