A handsome antique print - the seventeenth-century hall designed by Edward Jarman - a view from the river, with men at work on the construction of the new London Bridge in the foreground. Etched and engraved by Rob Roberts (fl.1829-1835) from an original study by William Henry Bartlett. Originally produced for John Britton's part-work publication "Picturesque Antiquities of the English Cities" (London 1828-1830).

[London : 1756]. A handsome antique print - a plain and elegant depiction of the old Fishmongers' Hall on the Thames. Originally engraved by Benjamin Cole (fl.1723-1767) for the part-work edition of William Maitland's "History of London" (London: 1753-1756).
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 161 x 229mm (approx. 6-3/8" x 9"). Trimmed tight to margins, a few faint marks and a minor crease, but otherwise in very good state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 38/042A.
