Engraved by Ebenezer Challis (fl.1831-1863) from an original study by Thomas Allom (1804-1872). Originally produced for the part-work series "Scotland Illustrated" (London 1835-1838).

Engraved by Robert Wallis (1794-1878) from an original study by the well-known William Henry Bartlett. Originally produced for the part-work series "Ports, Harbours, Watering Places and Coast Scenery of Great Britain" (London 1836-1842).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 138 x 180mm (approx. 5-1/2" x 7-1/8"). Just a hint of dustiness to outer margins, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Glasgow : James Mitchell & Co., [ca.1850]. An unusual antique print of the nineteenth-century Glasgow Exchange (now the Museum of Modern Art) - a small vignette view here utilised as decoration for a sheet of notepaper. Engraved by James Mitchell & Co. and published from their 45 Argyle Arcade address, which dates the production to between 1846 and 1851.
Steel line engraving on folding sheet of notepaper. Engraved surface 70 x 97mm (approx. 2-3/4" x 3-7/8"). Sheet size 204 x 127mm. Slight diagonal vertical crease, a few faint marks, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
