London : Vernor, Hood & Sharpe, 1811. A pleasant antique print – the old seventeenth-century hall on Foster Lane, restored by Edward Jarman after the Great Fire. Engraved by William Angus and originally produced for the part-work “Beauties of England and Wales” (1801-1816).
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 110 x 155mm (approx. 4-3/8” x 6-1/8”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 104/010.

[London : for T. Osborne & J. Shipton; and J. Hodges, 1756]. A handsome antique print – a plain and elegant depiction of the old seventeenth-century Goldsmiths’ Hall on Foster Lane. Originally engraved by Benjamin Cole for the part-work edition of William Maitland’s “History of London” (London : 1753-1756).
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 181 x 230mm (approx. 7-1/8” x 9”). Trimmed tight to margins, a minor crease, but in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 38/011A.

[London : 1840]. A pleasant antique print of Goldsmiths’ Hall, built by Philip Hardwick between 1829 and 1835. Originally produced for the publisher John Tallis’s “London Street Views” (1838 on) and reissued with Thomas Dugdale’s part-work survey published as “The Curiosities of Great Britain” or “England Delineated” in various formats between 1838 and 1860.

A vignette view of Goldsmiths’ Hall completes the design. Drawn and engraved by John Greig (fl.1800-1843) and originally produced for the part-work publication “Walks through London, including Westminster and the Borough of Southwark” (London : 1816-1817).

Hand touched and finished half-tone process block. Image area 159 x 221mm (approx. 6-1/4” x 8-5/8”). A couple of tiny specks, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Payne, originally produced for Payne’s “Illustrated London, or a Series of Views in the British Metropolis and its Vicinity” (London : 1846-1847), and here in a slightly later impression dating from 1852.
