London : J. Stratford, 1807. An early nineteenth century antique print - the Thames at Purfleet. Engraved by Samuel Turner Sparrow (fl.1773-1810) from an original drawing by Edward Gyfford. Originally produced for James Stratford's part-work series "London; being an Accurate History and Description of the British Metropolis and its Neighbourhood ... by David Hughson" (London 1805-1810). "Hughson" was in fact the pseudonym of David Pugh.
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 108 x 164mm (approx. 4-1/4" x 6-1/2"). Just a touch of surface dustiness, but otherwise in very good state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
