[London : Virtue & Co., 1881]. A most attractive antique print – an interior view of the church and what appears to be a party of visitors attending a christening. Engraved by James Harfield Kernot (1802-1858) from an original study by the gifted artist-architect Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work “History of Surrey” (London : 1840-1848) – and here in the later reissue published between 1878 and 1881.
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 135 x 166mm (approx. 5-3/8” x 6-1/2”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
