[London : Virtue & Co., 1881]. A most attractive antique print – an interior view of the church and what appears to be a party of visitors attending a christening. Engraved by James Harfield Kernot (1802-1858) from an original study by the gifted artist-architect Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work “History of Surrey” (London : 1840-1848) – and here in the later reissue published between 1878 and 1881.
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 135 x 166mm (approx. 5-3/8” x 6-1/2”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

London : J. Stratford, 1806. A pleasant antique print – the centre of Kingston in the early nineteenth century. Engraved by William Wise (fl.1790-1818) from an original drawing by Edward Gyfford. Originally produced for James Stratford’s part-work series “London; being an Accurate History and Description of the British Metropolis and its Neighbourhood ... by David Hughson” (London : 1805-1810). “Hughson” was in fact the pseudonym of David Pugh.
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 106 x 166mm (approx. 4-1/8” x 6-1/2”). A few tiny specks and little marks to margins, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
