[Glasgow : Blackie & Son, 1840]. A handsome antique print - a view from the hills above to the castle and the loch. Engraved by William Richardson (fl.1840-1876) from an original study by the Scottish landscape painter and pioneer of photography, David Octavius Hill. Originally produced for Hill's "The Land of Burns, a Series of Landscapes and Portraits" (Glasgow 1840).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 110 x 140mm (approx. 4-3/8" x 5-1/2"). Tiny mark in lower margin, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
