London : George Virtue, [1840]. A most attractive antique print of the harbour bustling with shipping, the heights of Edinburgh beyond. Engraved by Robert Wallis (1794-1878) from an original study by the well-known William Henry Bartlett. Originally produced for the part-work series “Ports, Harbours, Watering Places and Coast Scenery of Great Britain” (London : 1836-1842).
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 138 x 179mm (approx. 5-1/2” x 7-1/8”). A few slight marks, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

London : Jones & Co., 1829. An attractive antique print of Leith and the imposing old town hall at the corner of Constitution Street. Engraved by Josiah Henshall (1801?-1869) from an original study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd. Originally produced for the part-work “Modern Athens! Displayed in a Series of Views: or, Edinburgh in the Nineteenth Century” (London : 1829-1831).
Steel line engraving. Engraved surface 112 x 150mm (approx. 4-1/2” x 5-7/8”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Originally produced for John Parker Lawson’s “Scotland Delineated in a Series of Views” (London : 1847-1854), but here with the later imprint of J. G. Murdoch and produced for his undated publication “Scotland, Picturesque, Historical, Descriptive”.
Tint lithograph on paper. Later hand colour. Printed surface 169 x 214mm (approx. 6-5/8” x 8-3/8”). A few very small and very light marks, but in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
