A clearly engraved map of the county from the Admiralty engravers John & Charles Walker - on a scale of some five miles to the inch, particular attention being given to the newly built railways. Originally published in 1835, but here in a later and updated version.
Line engraving on paper, with original hand colour. Engraved surface 397 x 325mm (approx. 15-3/4" x 12-7/8"). Folding into a contemporary glazed paper case with printed label; just a hint of tanning, case a little rubbed, but overall in very good and clean condition for a fragile item.
