A delightful antique print - a bustling street scene, with the Blackwall omnibus, carriages, and fashionably dressed pedestrians in front of the imposing facade of old East India House, at the corner of Leadenhall Street and Lime Street (the site of the present Lloyd's building). Engraved by William Wallis (fl.1816-1855) from an original study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London.
