Originally produced for John Britton's "Picturesque Antiquities of the English Cities" (London, 1829-1830). The plate is dedicated to Henry Carington Bowles F.S.A.

Originally produced for Wood's "History of London : Illustrated by Views", first published in parts 1837-1838 and subsequently reissued in various guises between 1838 and 1862.
