[London : 1758]. An unusual antique print - a view of London Bridge partly collapsed (London Bridge is Falling Down) in the aftermath of the fire of 11th April 1758. The houses were permanently removed after this time. Originally produced for one of the contemporary magazines.

[London : 1758]. An uncommon broadside news print - a view from the west - London Bridge partly collapsed (London Bridge is Falling Down) in the aftermath of the fire that destroyed the temporary wooden walkway at the centre of the bridge on 11th April 1758. The houses were permanently removed after this time. The print is clearly related to the one published by William Herbert at the same time, but differs in title and minor details.
Etching and line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 212 x 328mm (approx. 8-3/8" x 12-7/8". Trimmed to neatlines; short repaired tear to lower margin; old vertical folds with slight wear; but a good and presentable example of a scarce survival. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
