A pleasant antique print - a view of the fifteenth-century house, the garden, and the church beyond - members of the family speak to the gardener. Engraved by William Alexander le Petit (fl.1829-1855) from an original study by the painter-architect Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work series "Cornwall Illustrated" (London 1830-1832). Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 110 x 156mm (approx. 4-3/8" x 6-1/8"). A few faint creases to outer margins, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
