[London : George Virtue, 1839]. A most attractive antique print - a view across the bay to Eastport, Maine at the eastern extremity of the United States. Engraved by Charles Cousen (1813-1889) from an original study by William Henry Bartlett. Originally produced for the part-work series "American Scenery" (London : 1837-1839).
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 138 x 178mm (approx. 5-1/2" x 7"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Engraved by William Radclyffe (1783-1855) from an original study by the Hudson River School artist, Thomas Doughty. Originally produced for the part-work series "American Scenery" (London : 1837-1839).
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 139 x 182mm (approx. 5-1/2" x 7-1/8"). A couple of faint marks to lower margin, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
