[London : 1827]. A scarce antique print - boys in yard perhaps playing with marbles - by John Chessell Buckler. Originally produced for Buckler's "Sixty Views of Endowed Grammar Schools from Original Drawings by J. C. Buckler" (London : 1827).
Copper etching and line engraving on india paper. Engraved surface 109 x 140mm (approx. 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"). Just a hint of spotting, but a very good and sharp impression. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 153/007.

[London : 1772]. An antique print - an austere elevation of the exterior of the original Merchant Taylors' School in Suffolk Lane near Cannon Street Station - the school long since removed to Northwood. Originally engraved by Benjamin Cole (fl.1723-1767) for the part-work edition of William Maitland's "History of London" (London : 1753-1756), but here in a slightly later printing from 1772.
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 184 x 234mm (approx. 7-1/4" x 9-1/4"). Trimmed tight to neatlines, just a touch dusty, but in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 38/029A.

[London : 1878 (or later)]. A pleasant antique print of the original Merchant Taylors' School in Suffolk Lane near Cannon Street Station. Engraved from a study by William Henry Prior and originally produced for the part-work "Old and New London" (London : 1873-1878).
Wood engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 106 x 145mm (approx. 4-1/8" x 5-3/4"). Text on verso. In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Drawn and engraved by George Sidney Shepherd and originally produced for the part-work "Beauties of England and Wales" (London : 1801-1816).
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 117 x 141mm (approx. 4-5/8" x 5-5/8"). One tiny speck, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 104/013.
