ELLIS, William, 1747-1810 : MERTON. London : J. Stratford, 1806. A charming antique print of the Norman parish church of St. Mary in a bucolic setting, with haystacks in the foreground. Engraved by F. Haydon from an original drawing by William Ellis. Originally produced for James Stratford's part-work series "London; being an Accurate History and Description of the British Metropolis and its Neighbourhood ... by David Hughson" (London : 1805-1810).
