DUNCAN, Allan, 1844?-1925 : MILFORD HAVEN AND DOCKS.

London : Roberts & Leete, 1883. A handsome antique print – a sweeping view of Milford Haven. Engraved by John Godfrey (ca.1817-1889) from an original study by Allan Duncan, the London-born artist who later settled in Wales. Originally produced as the Stationers’ Company Almanack for 1883 – and so titled above the image.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 230 x 392mm (approx. 9” x 15-1/2”). A touch dusty, with a few marks and small spots, but still in good state for a rare and ephemeral item. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Engraved by Henry Winsor Bond (1804-1881) from an original study by the landscape and topographical painter Henry Gastineau. Originally produced for the part-work series “Wales Illustrated” (London : 1830-1831).

Wood engraving on paper. Engraved surface 163 x 135mm (approx. 6-1/2” x 5-3/8”). A few tiny specks, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
