[London : 1852]. A pleasant small antique print - the Royal Mint on Little Tower Hill. An engraving from the workshop of A.H.Payne, originally produced for Payne's "Illustrated London, or a Series of Views in the British Metropolis and its Vicinity" (London: 1846-1847), and here in a slightly later impression dating from 1852.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 69 x 87mm (approx. 2-3/4" x 3-3/8"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 207/064B.

Engraved by William Hawkins (fl.1784-1809) from an original study by Robert Blemmel Schnebbelie (fl.1803-1849). Originally produced for the part-work by "Dr David Hughson" [David Pugh] known as "London; being an Accurate History and Description of the British Metropolis" (London 1805-1809).

An antique print - an attractive view of the courtyard of the old Royal Mint on Little Tower Hill, a coach and pair, two soldiers on horseback, etc. Engraved by James Tingle (1801-1858) from an original study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth century London. From Shepherd's series "London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century" (London 1829-1832).
