London : George Virtue, 1836. A handsome antique print - a view of the famous castle from the river and rocks below. Engraved by Thomas Barber (fl.1818-1840) from an original study by the gifted Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work series "Scotland Illustrated" (London : 1835-1838).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 136 x 173mm (approx. 5-3/8" x 6-3/4"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
