[London : Simpkin & Marshall, 1834]. A pleasant antique print – a lively view of the centre of the town. Drawn and engraved by Thomas Barber (fl.1818-1840), and originally produced for “Barber’s Picturesque Illustrations of the Isle of Wight” (London : 1834).
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 105 x 149mm (approx. 4-1/8” x 5-7/8”). A couple of small and faint marks to blank margins, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Engraved by Thomas Barber (fl.1818-1840) from an original study by William Henry Bartlett. Originally produced for Barber’s “Picturesque Illustrations of the Isle of Wight” (London : 1834) – and here in a slightly later state.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 106 x 144mm (approx. 4-1/8” x 5-5/8”). A few faint and tiny marks to outer blank margins, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Copper line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 183 x 233mm (approx. 7-1/8” x 9-1/8”). A few tiny marks and specks, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Engraved by the gifted Thomas Abiel Prior (1809-1866) from an original design by the antiquary James Thorne, worked up for publication by the well-known William Harvey. Originally produced in 1848 for the part-work publication “The Land We Live In” (1847-1851).
