A clearly engraved map of the county from the Admiralty engravers John & Charles Walker - on a scale of just under five miles to the inch, with particular attention being given to the newly built railways. Originally published in 1835, but here in a later and updated version.
Line engraving on paper, with original hand colour. Engraved surface 335 x 394mm (approx. 13-1/8" x 15-1/2"). Dissected, mounted on linen and folding into the contemporary cloth case of John Betts, with paper title-labels; in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique map.
