Witham : P. Youngman, 1826. A pleasant antique print – the new Shirehall at Norwich built by William Wilkins in the 1820s. Engraved by Thomas Barber (fl.1818-1840) and originally produced for an unidentified publication produced for Philip Youngman of Witham.

London : E. Wilson, 1837. An antique print of the cathedral – a cloaked figure kneels among the stout pillars of the nave. Engraved by Benjamin Winkles (1805-1856) from an original study by Hablot Knight Browne – better known as “Phiz”, the illustrator of Dickens. Originally produced for the part-work publication “Winkles’s Architectural and Picturesque Illustrations of the Cathedral Churches of England and Wales” (1835-1842).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 167 x 102mm (approx. 6-5/8” x 4”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
