[London : Virtue & Co., 1881]. A pleasant antique print – the Norman church of St. James at Abinger. Engraved by M. J. Starling (fl.1829-1848) from an original study by the gifted artist-architect Thomas Allom. Originally produced for the part-work “History of Surrey” (London : 1840-1848) – and here in the later reissue published between 1878 and 1881.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 103 x 120mm (approx. 4-1/8” x 4-3/4”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Originally produced for the part-work “History of Surrey” (London : 1840-1848) – and here in the later reissue published between 1878 and 1881.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 96 x 120mm (approx. 3-3/4” x 4-3/4”). Lower margin just a touch dusty, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
