A neatly worked and detailed town plan of Oxford as it stood at the beginning of the nineteeth century, with a keyed index to twenty-five colleges and halls. Engraved by John Roper (fl.1792-1810) from a draught by G. Cole - probably the surveyor George Cole of Soho. The map is decorated with the coats of arms of the city and the university - and a vignette view of Oxford from the London Road - the last separately drawn and engraved by James Sargant Storer (1771-1853).
