An antique print – Paternoster Row from the corner of Warwick Lane – bales of books being loaded on to a wagon – groups of book-buyers stopping to look at the latest publications. One of a series of London views that appeared in the popular old “Penny Magazine” in 1837 under the general title “A Looking Glass for London”.
Wood engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 147 x 102mm (approx. 5-3/4” x 4”). Text on verso. In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
