London : George Virtue, 1830. An antique print – the old retirement retreat for publicans on Asylum Road in Peckham. Engraved by Henry Wallis from an original study by the landscape painter Thomas Mann Baynes. Originally produced for the “England’s Topographer” series of Kent views (London : 1828-1831).
PRIOR, William Henry, 1812-1882 : THE "ROSEMARY BRANCH" IN 1800.
[London : 1878 (or later)]. A charming antique print of the celebrated old tavern at Peckham – its pleasure-grounds once famous for all kinds of sporting activity. Engraved from an original study (based on an earlier source) by William Henry Prior. Originally produced for the part-work “Old and New London” (London : 1873-1878).
