[London : J. Cooke, 1778]. A handsome eighteenth-century antique print - a view of Tahiti from the sea. Originally produced for the John Cooke part-work publication "A New and Complete System of Geography" (London : 1778), ostensibly by Charles Theodore Middleton.
Copper line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 185 x 269mm (approx. 7-3/8" x 10-5/8"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
