London : George Virtue, [1833]. A handsome antique print - the great church of St. Mary the Virgin at Saffron Walden. Engraved by Robert Sands (1782-1855) from an original study by the ubiquitous William Henry Bartlett. Originally produced for "The History and Topography of Essex" published in parts from 1831 onwards.
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 210 x 145mm (approx. 8-1/4" x 5-3/4"). A few slight marks to outer blank margins, but otherwise in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

Originally produced for the Francis Orpen Morris part-work "County Seats of the Noblemen and Gentlemen of Great Britain and Ireland" (1864-1880).
