London : Tombleson & Co., [1833]. A most attractive antique print - the village from across the Thames - a party about to be ferried across - men fishing. The scene is set within an ornate engraved palm-leaf border. Engraved by Henry Winkles (1800-1860) from an original study by William Tombleson (fl.1824-1846). Originally published in the part-work series "Tombleson's Views of the Thames and Medway" (London : 1833-1834).
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 153 x 191mm (approx. 6" x 7-1/2"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 178/028.
