[London : Fisher, Son & Co., 1829]. An attractive antique print - a view of Sidmouth from the hills to the east. Engraved by Percy Heath (fl.1829-1838) from an original study by William Henry Bartlett. Originally produced for the part-work series "Devonshire Illustrated" (London : 1828-1832).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 103 x 157mm (approx. 4-1/8" x 6-1/8"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

[London : 1860]. A pleasant antique print, offering a view of Sidmouth from the hillside above. Engraved by J. Miller from an original study by William Daniell A.R.A. Produced for the publication "Beauties of English Scenery" (London 1860), although the plate has the appearance of having been originally engraved some twenty-five years earlier.

An attractive antique print - a vignette view of the beach at Sidmouth, with a bathing machine, etc. Engraved by William Finden (1787-1852) from an amateur sketch by "Jendle", worked up for publication by James Duffield Harding. Originally produced for the much admired part-work series "Ports, Harbours, Watering Places and Coast Scenery of Great Britain" (London 1836-1842).
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 171 x 155mm (approx. 6-5/8" x 6-1/8"). A few faint marks, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.

TURNER, Joseph Mallord William, 1775-1851 : SIDMOUTH.

[London : E. Gambart & Co., 1856 (or ]. A striking antique print - the town from the sea - engraved in mezzotint by Thomas Goff Lupton (1791-1873) from an original study by the great J. M. W. Turner. Originally produced for the "Harbours of England" series, the plate was given final touches by Turner himself in the 1820s, but remained unpublished until 1856.
Mezzotint on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 176 x 238mm (approx. 7" x 9-3/8"). Trimmed a little close, but in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print.
