[London : John Tallis & Co., 1852]. A small antique print of the elegant exterior. An engraving from the workshop of A. H. Payne, originally produced for his “Illustrated London, or a Series of Views in the British Metropolis and its Vicinity” (London : 1846-1847), and here in a slightly later impression dating from 1852.

SHEPHERD, Thomas Hosmer, 1793-1864 : SKINNERS’ HALL, DOWGATE HILL.
London : Jones & Co., 1830. A fine antique print of the handsome facade of the Hall, with the ionic pilasters and entablature designed by Jupp in 1778. Engraved by Major Samuel Barenger (1776-1837) from an original study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London. From Shepherd’s series “London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century” (London : 1829-1832).
