London : C. Tilt, 1837. A handsome antique print – a view of the interior of the Wren church, from the north-west. Engraved by John le Keux (1783-1846) from a study by the painter and architect Robert William Billings. Originally produced for George Godwin’s serially published “The Churches of London” (London : 1837-1839).
Steel line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 176 x 98mm (approx. 7” x 3-7/8”). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 189/038.

COOKE, Edward William, 1811-1880 : ST DUNSTAN’S IN THE EAST. FROM THE CUSTOM HOUSE.

[London : Longman & Co. ; J. & A. Arch & G. Cooke], 1828. A charming antique print – a view of the church from the foot of St Dunstan’s Hill, with the premises of Woolf the hatmaker on the south-west corner given some prominence. Etched and engraved by George Cooke (1781-1834) from an original drawing by his son, the well-known marine painter Edward William Cooke. Originally produced for the part-work series “Views in London and its Vicinity” (1826-1834).
Etching and line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 166 x 110mm (approx. 6-1/2” x 4-1/4”). A couple of tiny marks to blank margins, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 149/040.

London : W. Clarke, 1816. A charming small antique print – drawn and engraved by John Greig (fl.1800-1843) and originally produced for the part-work publication “Walks through London, including Westminster and the Borough of Southwark” (London : 1816-1817).
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 110 x 67mm (approx. 4-3/8” x 2-5/8”). Tiny spot in sky, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 121/010.

Engraved by Samuel Lacey (1786-1859) from an original sepia wash drawing (now in the Guildhall Library) by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London. From Shepherd’s series “London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century” (London : 1829-1832).
