Engraved by James Gough (1799-1889) from an original drawing (now in the Museum of London) by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London. Originally produced for Shepherd’s part-work series “London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century” (1829-1832).

Engraved by Joseph Skelton (1783-1871) from his own original drawing. Originally produced for the part-work series “Architectura Ecclesiastica Londini; being a Series of Views” (London : 1810-1823) – “the first artistically competent and exhaustive illustration of the golden age of London church building” (Adams). Below the image are several lines of explanatory text.
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 193 x 205mm (approx. 7-5/8” x 8”). A few tiny marks, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 189/061.
