London : J. Booth, 1814. A handsome antique print – the exterior of the Wren church of St. Michael Wood Street – demolished in the 1890s. Engraved by Joseph Skelton (1783-1871) from an original drawing (dated 1812 and now in the British Museum) by John Coney. Originally produced for the part-work series “Architectura Ecclesiastica Londini; being a Series of Views” (London : 1810-1823) – “the first artistically competent and exhaustive illustration of the golden age of London church building” (Adams). Below the image are several lines of explanatory text.
