COLE, Benjamin : THE WEST PROSPECT OF THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST. OLAVE IN THE OLD JEWRY.

[London : 1756]. An attractive eighteenth century engraving of the Wren church between Old Jewry and Ironmonger Lane, the tower of which still survives. Originally engraved by Benjamin Cole (fl.1723-1767) for the part-work edition of William Maitland's "History of London" (London: 1753-1756).
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 243 x 190mm (approx. 9-1/2" x 7-1/2"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 38/061.

London : J. Booth, 1818. A handsome antique print - the old Wren church between Old Jewry and Ironmonger Lane, the tower of which still survives. Engraved by William Wise (fl.1790-1818) from an original drawing (dated 1812 and now in the British Museum) by John Coney. Originally produced for the part-work series "Architectura Ecclesiastica Londini; being a Series of Views" (London : 1810-1823) - "the first artistically competent and exhaustive illustration of the golden age of London church building" (Adams). Below the image are several lines of explanatory text.
Copper line engraving on paper. Engraved surface 262 x 164mm (approx. 10-1/4" x 6-3/8"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 129/100.

London : Jones & Co., 1830. A charming antique print - a view of the Wren church between Old Jewry and Ironmonger Lane, the tower of which still survives. Engraved by William Watkins (fl.1828-1848) from an original study by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd. From Shepherd's series "London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century" (London : 1829-1832).
Steel line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 112 x 151mm (approx. 4-3/8" x 5-7/8"). A couple of tiny marks to outer blank margins, but overall in very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 161/064.
