London : John Harris, 1814. A pleasant early nineteenth-century antique print - an exterior view of the old school - a master points out the school to a boy - a coach and a wagon roll by. Engraved by S. Owen (fl.1796-1838) from an original study by John Preston Neale and originally produced for the part-work "Beauties of England and Wales" (London : 1801-1816).
Copper line engraving on paper. Later hand colour. Engraved surface 109 x 153mm (approx. 4-3/8" x 6"). In very good and clean state. A guaranteed genuine antique print. Adams 104/007.

London : Jones & Co., 1827. A pleasing antique print of the neo-classical facade of the nineteenth century school, still in its original position at the eastern end of the cathedral. Originally produced for Shepherd's series "Metropolitan Improvements; or London in the Nineteenth Century" (London : 1827-1830). Engraved by William Deeble (1794?-1861) from an original drawing by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London.
